Yoav Goldwein

Coordinator and Project Director

Yoav comes from a background of sustainable development and urbanism and is a great believer in the human scale and the power of communities. In his opinion, sustainable development is a continuous vision that needs to address a broad range of social and economical issues. Yoav believes that a beneficial balance can be achieved not just by communities bottom-up designs, but also by a top-down approach where governments, councils and organisations take part. Collaboration between the different sectors is essential to form a healthy society and a stable sustainable environment. Yoav has a BA in Urban planning and Environmental studies from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and has worked for the Israeli government as well as the private sector.
